In the old days of retail the relationship with the consumer was cordial but distant: the brand advertised and the retailer just waited for shoppers to arrive. Today, thanks to Mobile, shopping is personal: it can happen “in the moment”; it effortlessly combines local and far-away retailers; it is often social and is shared with friends. For brands and retailers to continue to win the trust and loyalty of today’s mobile consumer, “Engagement” is the key. And there isn’t any such thing as “channel conflict” for today’s shoppers.
We’ll look into the methods and tools that marketers can leverage to put their brands and retail experiences first in the minds and hearts of consumers.
